Reflection 13

By doing the peer review for essay, I felt a little bit hassle to do that at the first time. However, the result turned out to be a good opportunity to learn new grammar and vocabulary. With reading classmate's essay, I can learn from them because I may do not know something that they know better than me as well as I can learn from their writing style. Nevertheless, I think I still need more practice to review other's essay because there are still many grammar and words that I am not familiar with.

Reflection 12

In the class on Tuesday, I gained knowledge of writing essay in Japanese. I wrote essay about my experience at college in the US which is quite different from Chinese universities. The biggest challenge for me to finish essay is that I had to finish by the end of class so that it forced me to think quicker than when I write essay after class. Although I think did not write a really bad essay, I still need more time to practice with using grammars that I just learned. And then, I will think about my topic that relates to Japan and also I want to make it more interesting.

Reflection 10

During the presentation, I didn't have too much eye contacts with others but I was reading the essay all the time. So I don't think I did very well for the presentation this time so that I will do more preparedness if I have another chance for next presentation.
Nounって is a colloquial topic marker and it is often in a question setence. ～だけじゃなくて/でなくて、～も means not only...but also...
アーロンのトピクはクリスマスプレゼントのあげ方。アメリカでクリスマスの時、家族や友達にプレゼントをあげます。まず、リストを作って、プレゼントを書きます。ときどき、友達に手伝ってもらって、プレゼントを考えます。そして、早くモールで探して、プレゼントを買います。クリスマスのイブの前に、プレゼントを包んで、クリスマスの木の下で置いてます。

Reflection 9

Transfering from Genki to Tobira, I feel a little bit uncomfortable because the form of learning should be changed also. Personally, the better way for me to learn is to preview and read the passage at home before each class, and find out the grammar or vocabulary which I'm not familiar with so that I can ask these questions in the class. In the first week to use the Tobira, I learned the adjective stem plus さ to make the adjective to a noun. It means the abjective drops the い or な and add さ in the end. Another new grammar is the verb short form, which is only in present tense, add ことが・もある in the end means something happens occasionally.

中国の名所と名物について

中国の首都は北京で、いろいろな有名な所があります。例えば、故宮は一番有名な昔の宮殿という建物で、毎日人々は故宮に行って、觀光します。中国でおいしい食べ物がいっぱいあるても、世界中ではマーボーどーフはとても有名です。マーボーとーフという食べ物は四川料理であるからい食事だけど、中国で人気があります。

Reflection 8

This week I learned the grammar 〜ことにする and it means decide to do something. The grammar form is the dictionary form of verb plus ことにする; if change する to しています means be used to do something. 日本とアメリカでは顔文字がまったく違います。日本の顔文字は(^.^)　アメリカの顔文字は；D。 日本語の文法は「私はテニスをする」のように、主語(S)、目的語(O)、動詞(V)の順番ですが、英語は「I play tennis」のように、主語(S)、動詞(V)、目的語の順番です。 アメリカ人の人は目が合えば、笑ってくれたり話しかけてくれますが、日本人は目が合っても話しかけてくれません。日本の若者の間では、目が合っただけで喧嘩になることもあると聞きました。 アメリカ人は言いたいことを表情やジェスチャーを使って表しますが、日本人はあまりジェスチャーを使いません。 Japanese use a lot of facial expression word when texting or writing on the Internet but it is really different from American., such as Japanese always use (^.^) instead of ；D. Moreover, Japanese language also differs from American because the word order is different. In the daily life, when American people have eye contact with others on the street, they will smile at each other while Japanese people won't do that for sure. Between Japanese young people, when they have eye contact they will get in the fight. In the end, Americans use lots of gestures during conversation but Japanese usually do not do that.

Reflection 7

I did not go to class this Thursday so I learned the new grammar てもby myself but I do not think it is too difficult to seize the main idea about this grammar. It means something will happen even if another thing will happen and it is different from たら. Moreover, I learned まで in the class which means something happens till another thing will happen. Bascially, it is not hard to realize these two new grammar and apply into the real setting. My topic of the presentation will be Duanwu festival in China which not exits in Japan, and I will talk about the details, manners, customs of the festival.

Reflection 6

I learned causative passive sentences this week and basically it is the passive version of causative sentences. However, the grammar is kind of different from what Japanese usually use in Japan so I was confused at the moment. After doing workbook, I realized the usage of causative passive sentences but I'm confused a little bit about passive and causative passive pattern. In order to assure that I'm able to distinguish them clearly, I will practice more and try to use them in my articles.

Reflection 5

Personally, to do handouts by meself is a good way to improve my critical thinking because I will think about issue which I didn't know before repeatedly. Then, I can try to solve the problems by myself which it turned out to be easily solved. And I actually learned more during the critical thinking process. However, it is hard to keep thinking like this all the time because sometime I will be tired of thinking, as well as it is better to be helped with teacher who knows more than me. 黑岩 亮太 comes from Hiroshima Shudo Univeristy and now he is 20 years old. Usually, he likes to listen to music but doesn't like K-Pop music which is really popular in Japan right now.

Reflection 4

There was another Japanese student called 柿崎慶佑, and he's studying in Rikkyo University but he comes from Hokkaido. His major is law which surprised me when I heard it for the first time, and now he is sophomore in Japan. In his spare time, he likes to go fishing and snow board. Furthermore, I learned new grammar this week, the causative sentences and verb stem+なさい. The first one means someone let or make someone else to do something, and the second one means a command which is usually ordered by elders to students or children. I always heard Japanese people use causative sentences during speaking so I can remember this grammar easily, and I also drew the four-column manga which helps me practice this sentence pattern.

Reflection 3

There are some Japanese came to class and talk about themselves this week. Generally, I think Japanese young girls like Korean things better nowadays, and their purpose to come to the US is basically to experience the different culture and to practice their English. And for the newspaper, I think it is a new challenge to my Japanese skill because I have to combine different grammars to write an essay. However, I learned a lot of new stuff from doing this project, so that I think it is my greatest success this week.

Reflection 2

I learned the new grammar with the use of てある and間に. The first grammar is to describe the current situation that has been remained by purpose, and the subject is somebody who did this action. The second one demonstrates two events which happened during the duration. The most fun thing is to create our own script with my partner made in the video. The great success is that I remebered most of new vocabulay by using them in the class and homework. And the great challenge is to combine the new grammars that learned from last week and this week. I think I need to combine them together and make sentences or write essays frequently.

Reflection 1

I learned the passive sentences in the first week of class. When using the passive voice, it indicates something happened unfortunately to A by B. I think the most fun is to draw the comic in 4 columns, because everyone can be creative while applying the new grammar points into that comic. My great success in the class is I grab the new grammar and some new vocabulary, and my great challenge in the class is that I almost forget things that I learned before so that I have to review them hard after class. I think I should review the grammar which I forgot eventually after class and then combine the new grammar to practice.

ひな祭り

ひな祭りは日本の女子の日です。毎年三月三日です。あの日、両親が娘に男雛と女雛という人みたいことを机の上に置いてあった。それに、家族と一緒においしい食べ物を食べます。例えば、雛あられや、鯛や蛤の料理やちらし寿司を食べますが、特に甘酒を飲みます。だから、ひな祭りはという祭りです。

Reflection of presentation

1. The most difficult thing for the preparation is to try to remember all information and practice without looking at it.
2. During the presentation, I think the most difficult thing is to try to make it perfect such as talking without grammar mistakes, looking at the essay and talk fluently. And then, also have to be careful with presentation skill.
3. I hope I can make it more interesting such as adding more information about the comparison between the US, Japan and China.
4. I think I can definitely learn some speaking skill from the presentation, and it makes me want to talk as a native Japanese so it is kind of motivation that force me to learn.

友達って何でしょうか

ときどき友達の意味は何ですかということを考えています、特に最近またワンピースを見るから。「たぶん、大切な人かな」との答えである。しかし、両親も大切な人だと思っています。それに、日本語で「仲間」という単語もあるので、彼らはずっと私のそばにいて、一番大切な人です。一緒にいる時、話さないで相手の考えることをよく知ります。それから、私のことが信じてくれる人は仲間だと思います。つまり、友達なら私のことを信じるはずで、必要な時頼めばよかったです。ただ、人々はあまり完璧じゃないだろう。困ることがあったら、私は何を置いても助けるという人は友達になりたいです。

いつもコーヒーを飲む

最近春かもしれないから、毎日早く疲れました。そして、コーヒーを飲まなくてはいけません。家とスターバックスは近くてよかったと思っています。しかし、コーヒーを飲んだから、よく寝まなかったはずです。それに、次の日また疲れるという感じを持っています。その時、コーヒーたくさんを飲まなければよかったと思いますが、私はずっと勉強すると眠くなるという人です。だから、コーヒーを飲んだら、もっと勉強ができます。

日本人のゲストー

先週の木曜日、ゲストーは千葉から授業に来て、色々なことを話しました。彼女の名前はおりえですが、二十三歳です。映画が大好きから、宮崎骏の映画にきょうみがすごくあります。彼女は今７－１１でアルバイトをしていますけど、大変だと思っています。おりえはアルバイトをしたら、服を買えって、お金をためると言っていました。それに、最近、日本で地震があった、怖い経験だと思いました。地震の前に、彼女は地震があるかもしれないというメールをもらった、しかし、地震はやっぱり大変でした。

日本の大学生のアルバイトの発見

女子学生にも男子学生にも人気があるアルバイトは家庭教師です。それに、女子学生の目的で一番多いのは服が買いたいです。しかし、男子学生の目的は生活のゆとりが欲しいけど、彼らの目的はいい生活がほしいです。彼たちは両親にお金をまらって、恥ずかしいという気持ちを持っているかもしれません。毎月日本の大学生は家賃、食費、電気代を十万円ぐらい払わなくちゃいけません。だから、みんなはお金がすごくほしいけど、アルバイトをしたほうがいいと思っています。お金があったら、何も買えて、どこにも行けます。

天国で君に逢えたら

今日、「天国で君に逢えたら」を見てしまいました。これは二宮和也は２００９年にできたドラマです。なぜか私は、本当に感動しました。ドラマの中で、二宮さんは医者だから、色々な病気の人の面倒なことが聞かなくちゃいけなかった。それに、病人の家族に手紙を書いた。それは、病人の最後の願いだということになっている。神様はドアを閉めたかもしれない、しかし、他の窓が開いていると思っています。正直、運命はずるいじゃないか。人間は、いつどんなことがある知れないけど、一人でダーク森に果敢に入られなくちゃいけないんだろう。

期間のテスト

今回、テストはあまり難しくなかったけど、いろいろな間違いがあった。まず、「〜てくれない」という文法を覚えなかった。一瞬間に、全然覚えなかったね。しかし、理由がわからない。何でその時そんな簡単な文法が忘れた知らない。テストはもう終わったから、心配しなくて、また知らないこと多いが習わなくちゃいけないんです。それに、もっと勉強したほうがいいでしょう。

日本の学校

日本の小学校とアメリカの小学校はちょっと違います。まず、教室の外はシンクがあるそうです。学生は自分の教室を掃除しなくちゃいけないということです。それに、アメリカで制服を着なくてもいいって。アメリカ人は自由なことが好きので、制服のことが気にしないみたいです。日本で、教室に入ったら、靴をぬぐそうです。多分、学生は教室に汚なくなりたくないんです。そして、授業の前に、「今日よりぞ幼心を打ち捨てて人と成りにし道を踏めかし」というこどを読みます。

節分

日本で、節分は毎季節の始まりの日の前のことだって。色々なことをしますね。例えば、家の外に豆を投げます、つまり「鬼に外、福に内」ということだそうです。先生はそこに節分の習慣って言ってた。先週の木曜日、初めてこの祭りのことを聞いた時、楽しそうだと思った。日本に行けるかもしれない、豆も投げたいです。しかし、実はこの祭りは複雑なことだと思っています。

Task

I think this task is full of fun, and I can apply the grammars and vocabulary that I have learned into this task. And also it provides the opportunity to work with classmates.
It is useful to understand the usage of grammar when I actually practice again and again.
I hope I'm able to read in Japanese fluently.

Daily Routine

今日は週末だから、十時に起きました。起き時、メールをチェックしました。日本の友だちからもらったので、すごくうれしかった。朝ごはんを食べた後に、友だちにはがきを送ってあげました。友だちはスベックを見てみてと言ったから、午後あのドラマを見ました。（スベックは日本のドラマです）本当に楽しくて、いいドラマと思います。毎回友だちにドラマをしょうかいしてもらったから、嬉しかった。その時、友達が大好きです。

はじめまして、私はエラです。
昔　私はブログがたくさん作ったけど、はじめて日本語でブログが書きます。
今日の　日本語の授業中で、先生は私たちに　なぜ日本語を勉強しますか聞いたから　今ずっと考えています。
実は　私はテレビが大好きので、毎週日本のテレビ番組とドラマを見ます。そして、日本語が上手になりたいし、日本に行ってみてし、日本語を勉強しています。
